A fun activity where teams compete in a bake off!
Inspired by the Great British Bake Off, teams get creative by taking part in the nation’s favourite activity of the moment – baking!
Each team will have their own cook station, with mini oven, as well as recipe sheets and all the necessary equipment they will need to help them create their team treats. Our expert chefs will be there to give advice, tips and techniques, so everyone can be confident that they can achieve something delicious, no matter how bad a cook they may think they are!
Just like on Bake Off, teams are given 3 different challenges:
“Signature Bake” Biscuits – Teams are given different biscuit recipes to perfect such as shortbreads, ginger snaps and chocolate chip cookies.
“Technical Challenge” French Macarons – Not to be confused with macaroons, these are French, meringue-based bakes that melt in the mouth and are generally filled with buttercream or ganache. Macarons are tricky to perfect and, just like on the Great British Bake Off, we’ve deliberately kept the recipe basic to test teams’ baking techniques!
“Showstopper” Victoria Sponges – Teams show their cake decorating and sugarcraft skills by icing a cake and adding handmade decorations.
As a fun conclusion to the activity, guests display their bakes for judging. After a tasting session the winning team will be awarded with “star baker” medals.
Leftovers can then be boxed up and enjoyed at home.
